To our international Kickstarter Backer friends- we are working so very hard to get your Origami Paddler to you! Currently, we are trying to secure containers to ship boats to Europe, Australia, and New Zealand but the pandemic has struck once again, making it very difficult to find shipping containers, especially during the holiday season. We are setting aside the number of boats to ship to these countries - we’re not giving up but our estimated timeline has been pushed back. We don’t think that we will be able to ship these containers until the end of January, about one month later than our last estimation.  

We are very close to fulfilling all Canadian Kickstarter orders by the end of 2021 but just yesterday we encountered a hiccup with FedEx. The cost of shipping that they quoted has nearly doubled when test shipments were sent. We are currently working with FedEx and potential 3PL partners to find the best option to continue shipping Canadian orders - we expect to begin shipping again within a week or two. Origami Paddler will be covering the cost difference for those that have already paid for their shipping, however, the cost of shipping will be raised on the website for all future orders. 

Please keep in mind that the reason shipping seems so expensive is because we don’t hide that cost in the price of the boat like other companies do. We prefer to be transparent about it and adjust based on your location. We think that’s the fairest way to do it.
