We are currently shipping around 200 Origami Paddlers a day, six days a week. We believe that we will be very close to fulfilling all U.S. Kickstarter Backer orders by the end of November (If we miss this number, we estimate it will only be around 200-400 boats short, roughly a day or so behind).
Our previously estimated timeline was based on an assumption that our manufacturers would be able to ramp up to producing closer to 600 boats per day. Unfortunately, due to staffing shortages, that has not happened and the estimated timeline for pre-orders will be pushed back about one month. We know this is disappointing; we’re disappointed, too. But in the midst of a pandemic, we are grateful for the workers who continue to show up and work to produce the Origami Paddler. We are actively working to find solutions - perhaps searching for production staff ourselves, or maybe even finding an additional manufacturer.
